The sock yarn is great. I love Socks that rock, but it isn't easy to get here. And than a skein from the Sock Club is much greater. And the little one is sooooo cute. The brownies have been yummy. Thank you again.

Amazing Lace Swap on Ravelry

Today I got my wonderful package from the Amazing Lace Swap on Ravelry. My swappie but in soooooooo many nice things. The wool is so greatful. She also put in three great patterns. I'm sure that I will knit soon one of the shawls with the wool. See what I got.

Socks nr. 6+7 / 2009

Here are the socks of the last week. At the moment I'm really fast in knitting the socks. The patterns are from Knitting with handpainted yarn. In the book are many nice patterns.


This is the Potpourri pattern. The wool is from Drachenwolle. The yellow looks better in real, the weather wasn't good to make photos.


And this is the Schooner pattern, I don't make the knots on it, as I don't like them. The wool is from Tausendschön and was the unicum from January, called "Drei Könige"

1. Whole bean or ground?  Grounded coffee
2. Fully-loaded or decaf? Fully-loaded for sure
3. Regular or flavored? Like more regular ones
4. How do you drink your coffee? With a little bit of milk, no sugar
5. Favorite coffee ever? Oh this is a hard question. There are so many good ones. I like Columbian blends or Costa Rica, but also the others are good.
6. Are you fussy about your coffee or will any old bean do? Not that fussy, but the bean should not be soooooooo old
7. Favorite treats to have with your coffee? I like brownies, cookies and toast
8. Anything else about your coffee preferences? I like medium roast coffee, not too dark one
9. Yarn/fiber you love? I like merino wool, any handpainted sock wool, any soft wool is great
10. Yarn/fiber you hate? I only don't like 100% acryl and scratchy wool
11. What's on your needles? Mostly socks and shawls or scarfs
12. Favorite colors? Orange, light colors, autumn colors, red, 
13. Allergies? no importants for this swap
14. Anything you really love, really don't like, or just need to get off your chest? I like things who are typical for the region my swap partner lives, I like postcards from there. I hate dark colors. I love my cats and my horse. :-)

Here are some pics of Fiona in the snow. They taken at the wonderful winter weather we had some weeks ago, now it is only cold, but now more snow longer.

Socks nr. 1 - 5 / 2009

Here are the first socks of the year. As it is going better with my hand, knitting is fast as before. Three of the pairs are ready at the last week, as I watched Biathlon at TV.

This are for my brother, they are knitted with Opal 6ply called Tiger.


This are for me, in size 40, knitted with Tausendschön yarn. The pattern is the Faceted Rib pattern from The little box of socks


This socks also, and also the others who will follow, knitted for me in size 40. The yarn is from Drachenwolle and the pattern is Maelstrom from Cookie A.
