Socks

This socks are ready since Monday. I made them with Opal whool, the name is rainbow. They are for my mother. The colour is very pretty and luckily I have one skin at my stash. This will be than socks for me.

Stormy weather

Germany is hidden by a big storm today. It is so uncomfortably outside. Its stormy and it is raining much. I don't brought Fiona to the willow today, was she doesn't like much. She don't like to stay the whole day into the staples, but it is better with this kind of weather. So she got some extra food from me and it seems that this make her a little bit happier.
I hope that all things at our house will be safe. We have no money to pay a new roof. Maybe the storm getting that worst as they say. I hate this kind of weather. It should be better by tomorrow.
My cats don't want to go outside at the moment, I can understand them so well.

Back again

We are back since Saturday, but it was too much to do the last days. Now I'm back from Fiona and I use the time before my nephew comes. It's still a much to do. Why is this so after a vacation?
The week was nice, but as you can believe, we had no snow. It was too warm. The temperatures had been around 10°C, not really winter temperatures. So we made other things, than to made sledge rides or cross country skiing. We visited the castle Linderhof, went to Kempten, to Lindau (not that we had been there in summer enough), went to a swimming hall and so on. Some days it has rained. I will post some pictures of the vacation soon.

Away for vacation

We will leave for vacation tomorrow morning. We going there <klick> We want to make a winter vacation there, but it seems that this will be more a spring vacation. Here is a picture of a webcam from today. As you see is there not much snow. And the weather prognose isn't better, there should be warmer temperatures and rain. So we must find other things to do as we normally want to do.



I have all my things ready now, only some knitting stuff is left. My nephew and I go by train there. As our car is too small for us all. My mother also come with us.

So we will see again at the next weekend.

Last sock of last year,first sock of new year

Here is my last sock of the last year and the first one of the new one. I made the Monkey pattern from knitty.com. It was easy to knit and went on very fast. The yarn is from Opal. The socks are for me.

And than finished I another pair of socks at the last year, it is also yarn from Opal And the socks are also for me.

So I had made 58 1/2 socks at the last year. Whow, this is very much.

1. January

Now we nearly have 2 o'clock in the morning and it is time to go to bed. I hope that you all had and have a good starting of the new Year. We had a good one. We celebrated it with my brother Knut and his family and my mother. We ate Raclette and had a nice evening. Than we went out to shot some rockets in the air. It just started raining right before we went into the house. My cats are a little bit nervous, but now all seems be better.
